Choosing the right bipod and having a perfect height set just before a stage is quite often the key to success in a competition. One bipod isn’t enough to do everything you’re likely to require from it over a few stages. Shooting practical rifle and precision rifle competitions (in my case mainly IPSC, PRS and hybrids between these) for more than 10 years has “given” me quite a collection of bipods. I have stayed away from the “cheap and risky” ones, but there are a few from B&T Industries, Magpul and Harris to chose from at home. Some I have modified to suit my needs better. I even have one set with what used to be ski poles that can be used to shoot standing.

After some time on the market, it’s now time for a new Daniel Defense Delta 5 model – the “Pro”. The Delta 5 Pro is aimed at competitors looking to get into precision long range rifle shooting. The Delta 5 Pro comes with a sub-half-MOA precision guarantee, and features the Area 419s ARCA rail. Daniel Defense claims that this bolt gun bridges the gap between basic platforms and more expensive custom builds, and I think they have a point.

Area 419 has a lot of muzzle devices to attach to the dangerous end of your barrel, to make any energy that exits behave in a different manner. For instance, they have the clever Maverick Recoil Suppression System which TFB covered earlier.

Area 419 has released the Maverick Recoil Suppression System. According to the company, the system is the first of its kind and works like a combination of a muzzle brake and a sound suppressor.
