Introducing the Deals of the Week, a weekly round-up of some of the best deals on firearms and accessories that can be found on the internet.

There is a new kid on the block of black rifles, and that is the Ruger AR-556 MPR 450 Bushmaster. This AR-15 will look to fill a niche market for AR-15 aficionados that also love to hunt. In some regions of the country, if you are hunting various game, local wildlife authorities do not allow center-fire rifle cartridges; that is, unless if they are straight-wall casings. For what is deemed safety reasons, this typically relegates hunters to using revolver cartridges or older lever-action calibers. Most of which either lack velocity, power, or both.

It might be a slow sales time for the AR platform, but Sturm, Ruger & Co. appears to be making use of the excess time on the production line to introduce a range of variants that may appeal to its customers. Recently, the company announced the AR-556 MPR. Now, it introduces the AR-556 with Magpul furniture.

Ruger dove into their hat of tricks once again to bring out a more specialized version of their bread ‘n butter AR-15. They have developed the AR-556 MPR (“Multi Purpose Rifle”).

If you sadly live in New Jersey, New York, Maryland or Massachusetts and actually like firearms, your list of legal AR-15s can probably fit on the bar napkin you drink your sorrows away on. OK, that is slightly over the top, but legal ones are few and far between. Ruger is adding to that list with a new AR-556 with a MonsterMan grip.

It was only a matter of time. Ruger catalogs ammunition, knives, modern sporting rifles, revolvers, handguns, and even silencers. Now they can add stripped lower receivers to their burgeoning resume. The Ruger AR-Lower Receiver was quietly announced November 22nd, and will soon hit store shelves.

This is not a political post of any sort: it’s always interesting to study arms and ammunition sales just ahead of any United States presidential election.

Tactical Life got a sneak peak at the new Ruger AR-556. Ruger’s direct impingement AR-15. According to the video, the gun will retail for $749 and has a lot of features not seen in an AR of that price point. Such as folding rear sight, serrated angled face, forged receivers, Cold hammer forged barrel. More information to come of course.
