Being a defense show rather than a firearms industry show, there are a bunch of interesting products to see at AUSA that one might not get a peek at elsewhere. An example of this kind of product is the Modular Interlocking Ballistic Barriers from KF Armory. These barriers are made of a solid proprietary rubber-like material, can absorb impacts up to .50 cal (for the variant rated for that round), and can be assembled into walls and structures in very little time.

Far too often custom 1911 buyers overlook the wonderful resource that is the Springfield Armory Custom Shop. While on the NRA Annual Meeting show floor, Patrick got a chance to handle some of these legendary pistols that many dream of. The Professional 1911 is widely regarded as one of the finest duty 1911s on the planet, and after handling one it is easy to see why.

In a press release issued yesterday, it was revealed that the USCCA has been disinvited to NRA Annual Meeting. The press release comes less than two weeks from the show and cited no reason other than s wild guess as to the NRA‘s motives. USCCA stated in the press release that their best guess is the move was a “strategic business maneuver” because the NRA recognizes the USCCA as a frontrunner in concealed carry related matters.

On Day 3 of the 2016 National Rifle Association Annual Meeting, we got to see new products from Magpul, old friends from Mauser, and relics from the National Firearms Museum.
