Red dots and reflex sights were initially intended to be used only on rifles and carbines. Fast forward to today and nearly everyone has adopted the red dot and pistol concept, or is at the very least, aware of it. However, the market for rifle-mounted reflex sights has received a bit more interest as of late and that’s why American Defense Manufacturing is excited to announce their new Vortex Defender-CCW Red Dot packages which will include your choice of a mount fit for whatever long gun or shotgun you want it on and at the height that is most optimal for your specific setup.

In an effort to work around the existing laws on the books and provide hunters and shooters with a firearm they can rely on American Defense Manufacturing is proud to announce the release of the ADM UIC-10A Pistol chambered in .308 Winchester. This Maryland-compliant .308 Winchester pistol features a 12.5″ 1:10 RH twist nitride finished barrel, aircraft-grade aluminum receiver set, and a Geissele SSA 2-stage match trigger among many other features.

This is the new UIC Lightweight Tactical Competition Carbine.

American Defense Manufacturing were showing off their new range of magnifiers and some new titanium mounts and AR parts at SHOT Show. First up lets take a look at their new magnifiers that first appears earlier last year.

American Defense Manufacturing has just announced that their Flik3 and Flik5 fixed power add-on magnifiers announced back in March of this year and the Spek Micro Red Dot are both being delivered to dealers and wholesalers now. Here is a bit about the Magnifier and Red Dot system offered by ADM:

The (UIC) ADM4 Mod 2 retails for $1,850. It is nice to see a company not try to reinvent the wheel, but to come out with a good mixture of parts they are good at producing mixed with parts from other industry leaders. Often when buying an AR, the initial purchase is just that. The initial purchase provides the foundation of the rifle. However, many parts are later purchased to upgrade to the user’s wants or needs. This results in drawers of parts the shooter does not need and useless expense. While user needs can fluctuate, most of the commonly upgraded features are already high-end parts on the ADM4 Mod 2.

Shooting with an optic especially with a red dot is one of the best advancements for the AR platform. There is a whole world of optics and mounts to shoot a red dot with your AR but there are some that are specially made for use with night vision. These night vision optic risers elevate your optic and shooting experience when shooting in the dark with NODs (Night Observation Device).

American Defense Manufacturing have announced that Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, in Louisiana, have selected American Defense Mfg.’s .308 UIC10 rifle. What role the new rifles will have has not been announced but the rifle’s calibre suggests it may be used as a sharpshooter/marksman’s rifle.
