After testing a couple of ambi safeties that didn’t quite stack up to my expectations, I had come to the conclusion that flipping the lever on the right side of the receiver was the best option for me. Not long ago AXTS reached out to TFB and offered up their Talon ambidextrous 45/90 safety selector for review. Seeing as I have almost always been disappointed with ever ambi selector lever, I didn’t have high hopes; boy was I wrong.

Back at SHOT show I dropped by the Strike Industries booth to see what kind of madmen come up with all these wonderful toys and was flooded with prototypes of upcoming parts that will be in production later this year. One of those products was the Strike Switch and now that it is shipping they were kind enough to send a couple over for review.

Strike Industries is now shipping the ambidextrous safety that we reported was coming soon at SHOT 2016. The Strike Switch is designed to allow the shooter to disengage and engage the safety with a solid firing grip thanks to the toggle style switch. Strike describes the action as intuitive, fast and ergonomic as you can see in the gif below.

Early last year we got a glimpse of the 100% American made Honor Guard line of sub-compact pistols from Honor Defense when Nathan S published a press release just before SHOT Show. At the show TFB was able to put hands on the pistols both at the show at Range Day . Honor Defense sent one of the sub-compact 9mm pistols to TFB for review to see how they stack up against the 9mm single stack competition.
