The new Amend2 AICS magazines are now shipping to retailers. These magazines are compatible with short action calibers. Let’s take a look at the features.

Modular Driven Technology is now shipping their Field Stock for Ruger American short action rifles. This stock is a drop-in replacement for the factory stock but with added features. Let’s take a look. 

Japanese Precision and German Engineering – the HOWA HERA H7 rifle is a combination of hunting and precision rifle. It is available in 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Winchester with three barrel lengths, 22″ Standard, 24″ Heavy, and 24″ Carbon Fiber, all of which are threaded. The stock system is constructed of fiberglass-reinforced polymer, an aluminum V-block, and an aluminum forestock. The stock features spacer-adjustable LOP, polymer cheekpiece and M-LOK attachment points. The rifle comes with 2-5 round detachable AICS-compatible magazines and is available in Tan, OD Green, or Black color options. The price starts from $839, and they’re available from Legacy Sports International in the USA.

Accurate Mag is one of the leading manufacturers of AICS-pattern magazines, but they also produce actions and complete rifles.

LaRue Tactical from Leander, Texas, has just launched a new bolt-action rifle called Siete. The main caliber is 6.5 Creedmoor with a 23″ barrel length, but thanks to a quick-detachable, free-floating handguard and a quick-change barrel, you will have four more caliber options. The chassis and the action are CNC machined from billet aluminum.

When it comes to Warne, the thing most of you guys think about first is probably their high-quality scope mounts. US and Canada-based Modular Driven Technologies or MDT have announced a new 10 round metal magazine for the short action Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) which they describe as “nearly indestructible”. MSRP on the new AICS magazine is $67.95.

Sharps Bros Heatseeker bolt action rifle chassis was first introduced in November of 2019 and was initially available only for Howa mini action barreled actions. Back then, the company stated that they were planning to expand the line adding more footprints. Well, the second member of the Heatseeker chassis family has been recently released and it is designed for the Ruger American Rifle. Let’s take a closer look.

If I was to summarize the issues that I’ve seen competitors have (apart from missing their target) at the Precisioin Rifle Series matches and training sessions that I have attended, it boils down to various problems with magazines and feeding ammunition into the chamber.

MDT from Canada have released a new magazine which should interest a lot of manual action shooters who are using magwells with the AICS pattern. The body is made from high strength polymer and features a clear window in the sides of the body to easily view loaded rounds. The Poly/Metal design features steel feed lips that are mated to the polymer body to ensure smooth, reliable feeding.

Modular Driven Technologies (MDT) is known for producing high-quality gear for the precision rifle shooter. Their ACC chassis system, that is now available in the CZ455 inletting, is respected by precision shooters for being both feature-rich and relatively affordable as competition gear goes. MDT has just announced a small, but functional product that adds two rounds to AICS Magazines.
