In this episode of TFBTV, James visits Aero to see their big SHOT Show unveiling of their as-yet-unnamed pistol caliber carbine AR-15. The carbine is going to be offered as a partially built lower for $150 all the way up to a complete rifle. It will be available in 9mm, 10mm, .40S&W and .45ACP, and yes, it will take GLOCK mags. In this episode of TFBTV, Andrew reviews the TNW Aero Survival Pistol in 10mm with 10.25″ barrel and SB Tactical SOB brace, including brutal dirt test, velocity results, and ballistic gel testing.

Aero Precision had some interesting products for 2018. The company is working on a new line of compensators for 9mm, 5.56, and 7.62 rifles. These have a number of unique features such as the ability to slide a gas block over them while installed. They also have a titanium suppressor which wil MSRP for under $1000.

Say what you will about the AR-15, positive or negative. One thing one has to say is that there is a plethora of products available for the platform, earning it the well-deserved moniker: “Barbie for Men.” The various accessories developed for the penultimate Modern Sporting Rifle also make their way across to other platforms. Grips and stocks are especially noticeable. Handguards less so, but that does not stop TNW firearms from seeing the potential expansion of their Aero Survival Rifle platform.

Aero Precision has launched their second generation of AR lower receivers. Aero still starts from 7075 forgings, but has taken the time to add features many shooters would enjoy. Specifically, the magazine well has been flared, the selector switch is a new set of pictograms (and compatible with Battle Arms Development’s short-throw safety/selectors), and includes a tensioning set screw.

Aero Precision has released their long-awaited .308 receivers. The receivers are DPMS (Gen 1)-patterned. Both receivers are machined from forged 7075 t6 aluminum and then mil-spec anodized.
