Silencer Shop, the largest suppressor distributor in the U.S., is launching the 4473 Cloud service for FFLs. Before your eyes glass over and you jump to your other daily news sources – for example:  live shark tracker, or naked yoga on YouTube (find it yourself) – anything that brings the firearms industry from the stone tablet age into the digital world is a great thing.

According to sources in the Department of Justice speaking on the condition of anonymity, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) is making a move to eliminate the marijuana disqualification question to transfer a firearm from a licensed dealer to an individual. The move is significant at a time where states like New York have recently passed laws to legalize the recreational use of the Schedule 1 narcotic and could signify a move to legalize marijuana federally.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE or ATF) has released a new version of Form 4473. As reported by Guns.com and Orchid Advisors, the change comes about four years after the last revision to the form and includes clarifications for medical or state-legalized marijuana use, NICS checks for some NFA items, as well as other stipulations listed below.

All of us have filled out the 4473 form so many times that we could pretty much recite it and fill it out blind folded. But have you actually bothered to read the stuff after you sign and date 16 and 17?

A local PA store, Trop Guns, has disinclined to acquiesce to Glock’s request to review their 4473s. The request is in regards to Glock’s Blue Label program. The BLP is a discount progam for active Law Enforcement and Military to purchase Glock pistols at a discount. At the moment, due to Trop Gun’s refusal, they have been booted out of the Blue Label program.
