POTD: Very Swedish .30-06 Sprg Ammunition in the United States

In this installment of Picture-of-the-Day (POTD), we take a look at a rare box of ammo with some Swedish origins. It might be commonplace in Europe (that we are not sure), but this box of .30-06 Springfield ammunition is not something you see everyday in the United States. This ammunition was given to me from an older gentleman who plainly asked if I could “dispose” of it for him. My response?… You bet! Where he originally obtained it from I will never know, but I am never one to refuse free ammunition.

Brazilian G43 Cloning Attempts

World War II, as well known, marked the actual in-combat debut of semi-automatic rifles by the main nations involved, such as the United States (with the .30-06 M1 Garand), the Soviet Union (the 7.62x54Rmm SVT-40), and Germany (the 7.92x57mm G43/K43). The deep influence of the subsequent 7.92x33mm MP43/MP44/StG44 family on the post-war “assault rifle” design concept is equally well recognized. Noreen BN36 The .30-06 AR

I came across the Noreen BN36 at a local gun store. I have not heard of an AR style rifle chambered in .30-06. I have shot a Nemo Arms AR in .300 WinMag. I wonder if this will be similar?
