Radom is now making a .22 LR version of their Model 96 Beryl assault rifle. It is a very solid AK-style rifle, unlike some of the cheaper plastic .22 AK-47 clones. Visually the only thing that identifies it as being a .22 LR model is the charging handle.

My Russian (Google Translate) is not good, but it appears that Izhmash is manufacturing a carbine version of the Nagant M1895 revolver chambered in .22 LR named the KR-22 (Which according to readers is the translation of ‘KP-22′).

Young Manufacturing’s bullpup conversion of the .22 LR Marlin Model 795 was on display at SHOT Show. It is a neat looking gun. It does not try to emulate a fancy bullpup like the FN2000 or Tavor, but instead is minimalist and slick.

Along with the Stg.44, ATI plan on importing a clone of the famous German MP 40 Maschinenpistole chambered in .22 LR. It is a very nifty gun.

While tactical guns, and guns that look like tactical guns, are the sexist segment of the firearm market right now, the 10s of 1000s of new shooters each year don’t start out with a top-self, pimped-out and very expensive AR-15 rifles. They start out with the humble .22. I am pleased to see that Marlin, with their new XT-22 and XT-17 line of rimfire rifles, have not lost sight of this.

S&W will be launching a version of the M&P pistol chambered in .22 LR. It is single action, has a 4.1″ barrel, comes with either a 10 round or 12 round magazine and has an adjustable rear sight.

The ISSC M22 pistol will soon be available in a tan (“Desert Camo”) or pink frame.

CMMG has developed a .22 LR conversion kit for the PN P90 and PS90. It takes just 30 seconds to swap in this kit (no barrel swap is needed).

Tactical Innovations will soon be selling a .22 LR upper receiver for the M11/9 submachine gun (semi-auto clones are not compatible). The receiver uses American 180 .22 drum magazines which can hold up to 275 rounds.

Browning has introduced a .22 pistol patterned after the 1911. It is about 80% of the size of a regular 1911 (see photo below). It will be available in two sizes, a full-size and a compact.

An Australian company called Rimfire Research are developing a range of front locking rimfire rifles.
