Uberti U.S.A announces the Dalton, an 1873 Single Action Army pistol based on a pistol custom ordered for the outlaw Bob Dalton. With intricate engraving, a beautiful blued finish, and simulated pearl grips it’s sure to turn heads. Uberti’s new Courteney stalking rifle is one of the first commercial rifles to be chambered in .303 British since WW2. Built on an 1885 lever action, this is a unique hunting rifle with a refined British style. 

James Reeves of TFB talks with Savage CEO Al Kasper about SHOT Show 2020, new products on the show floor, and what’s on the horizon for Savage. Savage recently parted ways with Vista Outdoors and was required by Mr. Kasper and a group of investors. It has been an exciting 2020 for everyone over at Boyds Gunstocks so far and we have not made it out of the month of January yet! It was announced after New Years that  Boyds Gunstocks Industries Inc, as of January 2nd, transitioned to the new ownership of Dustin Knutson and Rob Carstensen who have been with  Boyds for a combined 24 years. Soon afterwards their most affordable gunstock yet was debuted in the “ Spike Camp” which looks to have tremendous potential for the features provided and the price-point at which it is offered.

Springfield Armory leading into SHOT Show 2020 unveiled their 1911 Ronin Operator to the world, but we finally were able to put our hands on it while attending SHOT Show 2020. The firearm that you may have already seen on the internet and murmurings at gun shops is a 5″ barrel model commonly referred to as a ‘Government’ size. To our surprise, it appears that Springfield Armory is going to be making both a Government profile (5″ barrel) 1911 Ronin Operator as well as a Commander profile (4.25″ barrel) version.

Yesterday marked the end of SHOT Show 2020 which is always an awesome, but grueling week of early mornings, late nights and dozens of miles traveled on foot. Unfortunately for me, I spent most of my time in meetings for a special project we will be debuting in a few weeks. Which means I didn’t really set foot on the floor until Thursday afternoon. Thanks to our best-in-class team of writers and videographers, we were able to bring you a high volume of interesting new releases. I spent my limited time on the floor putting together images for a 2020 SHOT Suppressor Show.

Sccy firearms have unveiled a new compact handgun in their 2020 firearm line up. Its called the DVG-1 and will come in a few different variations and packages depending on what’s best for the individual. Let’s dive into what the DVG-1 will be when it comes out later this year.

Norma has introduced an entirely new line of ammunition that is perfect for an assortment of cartridges in close-up training drills. They debuted their Range & Training Frangibles at SHOT Show this year during the “Industry Day at the Range” so as many people could shoot them on steel as possible, and experience these frangibles for themselves.

Norma has started off the year with a BANG! with their Norma MHP (Monolithic Hollow Point) by garnering adulation and strong attention from the shooting industry as a result of their all-copper construction projectile. The National Rifle Association (NRA) has awarded Norma a Golden Bullseye Award for being selected as Shooting Illustrated’s 2020 Ammunition Product of the Year.

Maxim Defense has broken into the firearms industry in a smashing fashion in recent years with their impressive collapsible braces as well as their PDX weapon system (as seen above). At SHOT Show 2020 they once again brought us something new with their Maxim Defense MDX series! This is a series of ultra-compact, PDW-style firearms, but with slightly longer barrels and collapsible braces or stocks (depending on if it is an SBR or AR pistol configuration).

Springfield Armory has turned a lot of heads when they announced at SHOT Show their SAINT Edge PDW chambered in 5.56mm NATO, but a nearly equally exciting product announcement has been their SAINT Edge EVAC! This is an AR pistol platform that boasts the ability to fold and break it down into a compact footprint so small that it practically would fit in a lunchbox-sized case.

I had a chance to stop by the B&T booth for Industry Day at the Range to see their newest addition to the sub-gun Market. Now in what some argue is the “best millimeter” the B&T APC10 made its way into the B&T booth where I was able to get some trigger time behind this new sub-gun. I spoke to some of the team from B&T to glean a little more information about how this new addition to their line of sub-guns came to fruition just in time for SHOT Show 2020.
