Shared features
Both the 4LUX 2K and 2K Duo have integrated lights. Attaching via M-LOK slots, they can be mounted to any long gun with a compatible handguard. Both versions come with ambidextrous controls for the on/off and mode-changing switches, and the 2K and 2K Duo have finger grooves cut in to assist in recoil control whether you’re shooting left-handed or right-handed.
Both versions have an internal rechargeable battery with Viridian’s SAFECharge system. They have high-output and low-output flashlight modes, as well as a “Nav mode,” which gives the shooter “Ultra-Low flashlight operation, available by button activation, for navigating in low light situations that do not require tactical awareness.”
Both the 2K and 2K Duo are made of machined 6061 aluminum with hard coat anodization. They carry an IPX6 weatherproof rating, resisting dust, moisture and crud when you’re in the field.
4LUX 2K
This light is the brightest of the two new options, rated for 2,060 lumens, 220,000 candela, and a throw distance of 725 yards. Asking price is $229; more details here.
4LUX 2K Duo
You get less output here, with a rating of 1,850 lumens, 220,000 candela, and a throw distance of 725 yards. But you also get a green laser built-in. Viridian says the sub-5 mW laser is “the most powerful and visible laser legally allowed.” The asking price is $259; more details here.
