POTD: The Moose Hunt - Savage 110 Ultralite
Carrying a lot of heavy gear around the forest is a pain, so those who have “been there” try to lessen the burden. One way to do this is of course to lighten the most important tool - the hunting rifle. Here’s a Savage Ultralite 100, where they teamed up with PROOF Research to make a lightweight rifle. To decrease the weight even more, a carbon fiber chassis from MDT was added.

“05:45 — A new day is here.
Let’s make the best of it!
I am ready for the moose with my Savage 110 Ultralite caliber .308WIN in a carbon fibre MDT chassis. Equipped with a Swarovski Z8i 1-8x24 in a SCP-3001 Sphur-mount.”
This is our Photo Of The Day and sometimes just one image is enough to tell the story. It’s a bit hard to know from the image if this is a sunrise or a sunset. But we’re looking at the beginning of a new day here, and we hope the moose hunt was successful.
