Henry Announces The 10-Shot .22 Golden Boy

Henry Repeating Arms is expanding its line of double-action revolvers with the new 10-shot Golden Boy. The .22 has been a staple in America for generations, and since Henry’s first rimfire lever guns in 1997, the cartridge has been at the core of their catalog. It makes sense that the Wisconsin-based company would extend its expertise with the popular caliber into an attractive and high-quality platform like the Henry H016 Series of Golden Boy Revolvers.

The Goods

The Golden Boy is a traditional double-action that blends old-world charm with modern manufacturing precision and the versatile .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridge. Sharing in Henry lever action rimfire heritage, the Golden Boy revolver features a deeply blued steel medium-size frame, American walnut grip panels, and a highly polished brass backstrap and trigger guard.

Golden Boy internal components are hand-fitted with exacting tolerances, delivering a smooth action to complement accuracy achieved with a linear trigger pull in double action, and a clean crisp break in single action. The business end features a 4” round-profile blued steel barrel, a fixed notch rear sight cut into the frame, and three included front sight blades allowing elevation adjustments for a predictable point of impact. Speaking of shooting, the innovative quick takedown feature on the 10-round cylinder means you’ll spend less time cleaning and more on the range.

The Henry Golden Boy revolver is available in two models with your choice of square Gunfighter-style grips (37 oz) for maximum control or rounded and compact Birdshead-style grips (36 oz) for better concealment. MSRP on either model of the new Henry Golden Boy revolver is set at $928.

"It’s high time our flagship rifle had a bonafide revolver companion, and I’m proud to stamp the Henry name on what the team put together," says Anthony Imperato, founder and CEO of Henry Repeating Arms. "Providing our customers with the most smiles per dollar is paramount to everything we do, and these new products deliver in spades, whether on the range or in the field.”

Henry promises that with a Golden Boy Revolver in your holster, a Golden Boy Rifle in your scabbard, and a Single Shot 12 Gauge at your bedside, you can consider your affordable, All-American cowboy kit complete. Who am I to argue? Personally, I think they are extremely handsome revolvers that I’d love to shoot. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Henry makes good quality products, but they need a better marketing team. Why do so many products need to have "Boy" in their name? Who wants to buy a gun called the "Big Boy" or "Big Boy X"?

I love my H001 and my Survival, and I am still trying to find a Garden Gun to go with them, but Henry’s revolvers leave me cold.
