When it comes to military and law enforcement factions selecting their holsters for duty, they are quite discerning on retention and durability because it could cost them their life if equipment fails. So, it is a nod of quality that the Blackhawk T-Series holster has been chosen for use by the Belgian Federal Police, and Blackhawk has subsequently secured their most recent contract.

Strike Industries has just unveiled their new SMC BRAVO Chassis for SIG P320 pistols, which allows much more modularity than a stock pistol. For those not familiar with the SIG P320 pistol series, a major design feature is that the serialized Fire Control Unit (FCU) allows the trigger group to be swapped into various grip moduals and used with various sized slides as well. The SMC BRAVO Chassis is the second such offering from Strike Industries, with the ALPHA being the first. However, the BRAVO is described as being the “lite” version, which will normally be listed at $129.95 compared the ALPHA which was released last year for $549.95. For today’s Photo Of The Day, we have pictures of another Cabot Guns masterpiece, the Veritas & Aequitas 1911 pistol. This one-of-one custom-commissioned pistol was two years in the making. The words Veritas (truth) and Aequitas (justice) are engraved on the sides of the slide which along with the frame is made of stainless Damascus steel. Like in many other deluxe Cabot 1911s, material from a meteorite is used in this pistol – the grips are completely made of meteorite!

Springfield Armory’s expansive line of Hellcat models has a new bundle option. This Sportsman’s Warehouse exclusive Hellcat Pro model adds several accessories from Viridian. One unique new item in that bundle is the Viridian CTL light, which has not been seen previously.

Walther has a new competition model. The new PDP Match Steel Frame builds on the existing Match polymer frame model but adds a steel frame (hence the name). Let’s see what other features it has.

The Glock 49 Gen 5 MOS 9mm is the newest addition to the Glock lineup. Officially released to the commercial market, the Glock 49 Gen 5 MOS combines the compact and concealable design of the Glock 19 with a full-sized Glock 17 slide and barrel, offering enhanced performance and a longer sight radius. This new model has been eagerly anticipated since leaks of the “19L” began to circulate. The Danish National Police have selected the SIG Sauer P320 as the replacement for the HK USP Compact currently in service. The USP Compacts have been in service for 25 years, the new pistols will be procured through SIG Sauer’s Danish representatives CT Solutions. The model of P320 and the number of pistols to be procured has not been announced, however, the Danish National Police has over 11,000 officers. The Danish Army selected the SIG Sauer P320 X-Carry in 2018.

Compensated pistols and ported slides and barrels are becoming increasingly popular across the handgun market and for good reason – they work. While they do make most guns more obnoxious to shoot indoors, in competition and self-defense situations the reduced recoil can make a huge difference in shot placement or the speed of follow-up shots. The SIG Sauer P320-XTEN COMP is SIG’s offering to those who like to carry around the power of a 10mm semi-auto pistol, but want something more controllable. SIG claims that with the P320-XTEN COMP’s new bull barrel and ported slide, there is a 20% reduction in recoil making it easier to shoot with hot 10mm ammunition.

One of the most popular micro-compact pistols in the nation has just become a bit more accessible to even more Americans with the launch of the new CA Compliant SIG Sauer P365. The new California-compliant P365 obviously had to go through the rigorous maze that is the California Roster of Certified Handguns.  Aside from the live-fire testing procedures, the pistol also has to be capped at 10 rounds, and feature a loaded chamber indicator, and a magazine disconnect.
