Well hello there. Are you looking for Sarah Connor? Well, she isn’t here. Just us firearm enthusiasts. Earlier this year I came across an AMT Hardballer at my local gun store. I bought it and transformed it into the iconic “.45 long slide with laser sighting”.
Concealed Carry Corner: Smaller Guns Aren't Always Better
Welcome back to another edition of Concealed Carry Corner. Last week, we took a look at some classy carry options for Christmas. If you happened to miss that article, be sure to click the link here to check out last week’s fun article. This week, I want to take a look at another topic not everyone talks about. With the recent trend in guns becoming smaller and now becoming slightly larger, there are a few very good reasons for this trend which I would love to look at closer. This isn’t by chance but there are a few specific reasons why bigger is sometimes better. Let’s take a closer look at why smaller guns aren’t always better.

Breaking News: Gaston Glock Has Passed Away At 94
Gaston Glock, inventor of the GLOCK Safe-Action Pistol, has passed away at the age of 94. Taurus' New 10mm Bull – Introducing the TH10 DA/SA Pistol
Taurus has been putting much effort into broadening its options throughout the US handgun market. With great introductions like the Taurus GX4 in the micro compact category, and the earlier release of the similar TH45 chambered in 45 ACP, it’s only natural that Taurus has now made the decision to finally make their very first 10mm handgun – the TH10. This new double-action/single-action polymer frame handgun features a combination de-cocker/safety so that you can carry the handgun “cocked and locked,” or de-cocked in DA mode with the safety off.
TFB Review: Strike Industries G19 LITESLIDE Assembly
Every year, I find myself having the same conversation with myself. Is it time to stray from Glocks? I’ve tried a few handguns that I can see replacing the system of pistols, mags, holsters, and bags. Then, like clockwork, something happens that sends me right back into Gaston’s embrace. This time, it was the article I wrote where I compared a factory Glock 19 to a parts build. For the parts build, the slide and all of its parts came from Strike Industries. Though I work with Strike often, I can admit that I appreciate their ability to innovate and produce, but not every part is a winner. I was quick to write off their LITESLIDE but ended up loving it so much that I used it to replace my factory slide. I know I gave away my opinion early, but if you’re still with me, let’s spend some time getting to know this Strike Industries LITESLIDE assembly.

TFB REVIEW: The P365-AXG LEGION – Alloy Frame Ultra Compact EDC Pistol
The addition of the P365 to the SIG Sauer concealed carry or everyday carry (EDC) pistol lineup is a success by any measure. Once dominated by low-capacity, single-stack magazine pistols, the P365 brought a compact footprint with a large capacity into the world of carry guns. Since its initial introduction, there have been a handful of sub-models like the P365X, the P365XL, and the MACRO line of guns. Today we are here to discuss one of the latest introductions to the SIG subcompact lineup, the P365-AXG LEGION, an alloy-framed, compensated, and optics-ready version of the P365 series. Is this your next carry gun? Let’s take a look.

And to celebrate this milestone, the crew at Ruger is set to party hearty with four new commemorative firearms. We are getting two pistols, a special-edition LCP MAX and a Mark IV, and two different commemorative takes on the 10/22 rimfire rifle.
Just As Good? Glock 19 vs. Mock 19 Parts Build
The number of third generation Glock clones is astounding. Some companies are based solely on taking proven designs and finding ways of making them more appealing to their audiences. For example, Shadow Systems has created their own versions of Glock pistols, but they offer customers all of the upgrades that they were going to do anyway, but straight from the manufacturer. My wife recently bought the DR920 and loves it. I, on the other hand, prefer a more hands-on approach. I decided to put together a parts build G19 clone, entirely from non-Glock parts, and put it up against one from the factory.

Wheelgun Wednesday: Double Revolver from San Marino
Welcome back to Wheelgun Wednesday, our weekly article series where we cover everything related to revolvers. For today’s edition, we have a picture of a very interesting wheelgun that is actually two revolvers merged together at a 90-degree angle. For lack of a better term, I’ll call this gat a double revolver. The picture of this obscure little firearm was taken in the Museum of Ancient Arms of San Marino by a good friend of mine and fellow firearms enthusiast Austin Missett who kindly allowed me to share it with our audience. Unfortunately, there was no information about the origin, design or history of this gun, it was in a display case that just said “Revolvers”. Let’s examine the pictures and see what we can tell about the design of this revolver(s).

TFB REVIEW: Trijicon RCR Closed Emitter Red Dot Sight
The open emitter versus closed emitter debate for red dot optics is stacked with two camps of people. The first group prefers a slimmer optic with a svelte profile. The second group prefers die hard dependability in every condition and environment. The new Trijicon RCR red dot optic is an attempt to show the two groups that their requirements are no longer mutually exclusive. I will make the assumption that the majority of slide mounted optic users are equipped with open emitter optics – specifically the Trijicon RMR. So is the RCR a worthy upgrade? Let’s take a look.
POTD: M9 and M17 in Marksmanship Competition
The handgun is what you use to fight your way to your rifle, isn’t that a saying we can all agree with? TFB’s Photo Of The Day shows a variety of M9 and M17 pistols used by the U.S. Marines. Above you see U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Brandon Aultman, a combat photographer with Headquarters Battalion, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, participating in the fourth quarter intramural marksmanship competition at MCBH, Aug. 17, 2023.
TFB PSA: Don't Deck the Halls With Your Balls This Christmas
I’m sure a lot of you have probably seen the video that has been circulating around social media and forums of some allegedly unfortunate fellow who accidentally gave himself a free vasectomy. The video of the accident is also accompanied by what looks to be discharge papers for the patient listing out the details of the entry and exit wound. While it’s entirely plausible that this video and the supporting document are falsified, I also wouldn’t put it out of the realm of possibility that this guy was simply being wildly irresponsible with his firearm for internet points, and wound up getting a 9mm screening of the Nutcracker. After all, it’s happened several times in the past and this incident seems to follow all the same patterns that the other accidents did. For those of you who can’t watch the video, we’ll go over it in more detail below. Obviously, you shouldn’t do anything like this with your own guns, that goes without saying, but just in case you’re fuzzy on the topic, Don’t point any type of firearm at your groin for internet clout.
