Navigating the world of aftermarket parts, you can find just about anything for a carry pistol. Whether it’s new sights or a mini knife bayonet, the internet has you covered. Obviously, we all know having a mini bayonet on your handgun is a complete waste of time and if you think it’s a good idea, this article is not for you. Over the last 3-4 years there have been trends where people continue to add onto their guns to the point where it’s nearly double the weight. There are a number of great upgrades to make, but there are also a few to avoid. Let’s dive into the first part of our carry gun accessory guide.

Atlantic Firearms just announced that they have imported used, but now inert, RPG-2 recoilless launchers that are now for sale. The surplus RPG-2 (which are recoilless weapon not rocket launchers as many believe) have a circular hole cut into the receiver to make them inoperative, and incapable of being reactivated. They will also come with a dummy rocket, though Atlantic Firearm’s CEO, Blaine, explained that they will have dummy rockets available separately as well, and the RPG-2’s will have a standalone option as well. If you work armed security, there’s a possibility that things could get hairy. If that were to happen, having an easily accessible belt with more capability could be invaluable. Getting the outer belt to correctly integrate with your concealment attire is the trick. Patches are somewhat of a novelty within the firearms community. The Skinner Historic Arms & Militaria Auction held in late October brought unique and rare firearms, as well as very interested buyers. Strike Industries is based in California. The restrictions in that hell ho…state have given inspiration to the company for many products that would otherwise not be allowed. Their Megafin was a massive help when running a featureless AR. Using their passion for innovation, the folks at Strike Industries also found a way to give people in restricted states access to pistol compensators. The Mass Driver, a compensator that doesn’t require a threaded barrel, is now available for Gen5 Glock pistols.

Does your MPL, Uzi, MP5, Spectre, or Jatimatic need a sling?  Soon to be available from Blue Force Gear is a new little sling for your SMGs.  The new sling is able to be configured either as a single point or two-point sling via Blue Force Gear’s ULoop attachment system.  Perfect for SMGs such as the “Uzi Nine Millimeter” that have smaller sling attachment points, and don’t feature QD cups like more modern firearms.  The Vickers SMG sling is also svelte, weight is only 3.35oz.

The holster maker, Bianchi, recently launched a new website and updated their logo, and asked us to spotlight a few holsters to bring that fact to light. Bianchi has been in the holster making business for more than four decades, and have continued making all types of holsters for armed citizens, law enforcement, and the military under Safariland’s umbrella. Despite Bianchi’s new logo and website, they still remain under Safariland’s ownership. Today, we’ll focus our attention on Bianchi’s Military Universal Revolver holster, model UM84R. This holster is configurable in many different ways to mate numerous different carry styles into one, do-it-all, outside the waistband (OWB) holster. Since I’m an contributing member of TFB’s Wheelgun Wednesday squad, I specifically chose to review this Universal Military Revolver holster from Bianchi, let’s see if this older design is still relevant.

When it comes to hunting and shooting modern sporting rifles (commonly referred to as AR-15/AR-10 rifles) most of the essential components that make up these firearms are merely an after-thought. That is, unless they fail you. If shooters allow their rifle to get too dirty or they are “too cheap” when it comes to purchasing ammunition, one failure they can realize is rounds getting stuck in a chamber. A reliable charging handle can often remedy that though. Likewise, if your optic takes up too large of a footprint on the top of your receiver, a well-designed charging handle can allow you to still safely and effectively manipulate your rifle. So, it is no wonder that aftermarket companies like Bourne Precision look to so deliberately craft charging handles like the Fury they offer. Today, we are going to see how the Bourne Precision Fury AR-15/AR-10 Charging Handle stacks up in some testing out at a flat range as well as out of a helicopter! Let’s dive in.

I’ll admit it. I’ve succumbed to the temptation to buy some pretty cheap ammo over the last year and a half and while I’d like to say that most of that ammo would run fine through all of my ARs, it sometimes just isn’t the case. Removing a stuck casing can be a bit of an ordeal sometimes and while mortaring your AR is a viable method of clearing it, it’s not always optimal, and sometimes it can damage your rifle if done improperly. Navigating the world of carrying a concealed handgun can be tricky, to say the least. Most of my articles about carrying concealed consist of talking about reliable gear while having an adequate understanding of fundamentals. Throughout my journey in the concealed carry world, I have seen my fair share of awesome products along with a number of not-so-great products. I recently took my 11.5″ AR pistol, which is equipped only with an A2 birdcage, to an indoor range. Needless to say, I wasn’t well-received. If you’ve ever shot in close proximity to someone with an aggressive muzzle brake, you’re aware that another person’s blast is pretty irritating. As we add more and more crap onto the handguard of our carbines, things can get a bit messy. Rangefinders are becoming a very common and almost ubiquitous piece of kit for every shooter and hunter. SIG Sauer Electro-Optics has just announced the release of two additional rangefinding optical devices to their rapidly expanding lineup – the KILO10K rangefinding binocular and KILO8K Rangefinding monocular. The KILO8K is scheduled to make its release at the time of writing while the KILO10K will start shipping in later November of 2021.
