Geissele Super Night Owl Suppressor – Double-Wall – 6.5mm
Reviving a six-year-old product announcement is not a normal occurrence in the firearms industry, but neither is a rifle/trigger/optic manufacturer releasing a silencer. The Geissele Super Night Owl quietly appeared on the manufacturer’s site this week without much fanfare. The 2.25” diameter, 1.47-pound rifle suppressor is bored to 6.5mm, is user serviceable, and is priced at $2,400. If you are scratching your head and wondering if something is off, you aren’t alone. Absent mind-blowing noise reduction numbers, these stats are difficult to digest. We’ll pass on more information as soon as it becomes available.

This time they have set their sights on producing a semi-automatic rifle chambered in the new 8.6 Blackout cartridge. Upon first impressions, it’s easy to see that Q has really turned the volume up to 11 on this rifle, even naming it “The Boombox” Ironically the only thing the Boombox shares with its 90’s counterpart is its name. It’s a meticulously well-engineered, lightweight, and mostly quiet rifle that spews out a massive piece of lead.
TFB Weekly Web Deals 55: Independence Day Roundup
Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 55! Tomorrow is Independence Day, so on behalf of everyone at TFB and TFBTV, Happy Independence Day! While this day is about celebrating the birth of our great nation, it’s also an excellent opportunity to take stock of everything we have because of not just the founding of this country, but the great people who came before us who have helped forge it into the best nation on this planet. Our founding fathers would have been unable to help instigate such a founding were it not for the arms, ammunition, and skilled gunsmiths they had around then. While the principles and purpose of the 2nd Amendment have not changed, the arms, ammunition, and gunsmiths have and we’re fortunate today to have access to some of the most cutting-edge firearms technology available on the planet, partially due to the fact that our access to arms is baked right into our nations constitution. In honor of that, and as is our custom here at TFB, let’s help celebrate our nation’s birth by sharing some great deals we’ve found for arms, ammunition, and gear in TFB Weekly Web Deals 55.

TFBTV and James Reeves are at Brownells covering GunCon 2023. In this episode, James speaks with his good friend, Joe Hajny of LMT, about LMT’s new suppressor line. Well known as a premium supplier of military and Law Enforcement M4s, AR-15s, AR-10s, and similar carbines, it only makes sense that LMT gets into the suppressor game, making their own line of reasonably priced suppressors designed to package with their carbines and rifles.

Creative Arms .300 BLK "ISR" (Integrally Suppressed Rifle) [GunCon 2023]
In this episode of TFBTV’s GunCon 2023 coverage, James speaks with Creative Arms, an Iowan boutique AR-15 manufacturer, about their integrally suppressed .300 Blackout AR-15. This carbine is different than many other integrally suppressed AR-15 options out there in that the Creative Arms uses a removable baffle core that can be swapped, but perhaps more importantly, it can be removed while the purchaser waits for their suppressor paperwork to clear or if the gun is being brought to a place where a suppressor is not permitted. How…creative?

This suppressor is ultralightweight (at just 5.6 ounces), easy to maintain, and cheap at just $450.

NEW! Q BOOMBOX: The Honey Badger's Big Brother
In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves interviews the creator of the Honey Badger, Kevin Brittingham of Q, about the new Q Boombox. The Boombox is, more or less, the “big brother” of the Honey Badger. While the Honey Badger uses a 5.56mm sized frame to accommodate .300 Blackout rounds, the Boombox uses the new 8.6mm Blackout, which works in the same size frame as 7.62mm guns like .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor. And even though the Boombox has a big caliber and capability jump, it is only a few ounces heavier and a few inches longer than the Honey Badger. See what all the noise is about.

The Rimfire Report: How to Properly Play with Your Kitty Kat (Clone)
Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! This ongoing series is all about the rimfire firearm world and its many types of guns, gear, shooting sports, and ammunition types! Last week we talked about a recent upgrade that was released for the KelTec P17 pistol. The new optics-ready slide is a cool addition to the pistol’s capabilities but I’m still debating on whether or not it’s a solid recommendation from me as it puts the pistol on the same price scale as the much more reliable and durable SIG P322 or even the classic Ruger Mark IV Lite. If the price were a bit lower for the entire package, I’d say it would be 100% worth picking up – so maybe wait for a sale or something because it’s certainly a lot of fun for a compact lightweight 22LR pistol. Today we’re going to combine the rimfire world with the world of clone builds. As you might have guessed from the title, today we’re talking about the DPMS Model RFA2-KIT or “Kitty Kat.” This pint-sized AR was originally intended to be used by SWAT entry teams which explains the ridiculously short 7″ barrel – even if you’re losing a lot of velocities, 5.56 has more than enough speed left to cause some serious damage at ranges you’d typically encounter baddies at indoors. However, if you’ve built one of these, you know you’re not training to use it for a planned entry – you’re probably mag-dumping it like the rest of us – and that’s expensive. Today we’re going to go over some of my recent experiences combining both Hop’s clone of the DPMS Kitty Kat, as well as CCMG’s latest iteration of their BRAVO 22LR conversion kit – this winning combination makes playing around with the Kitty Kat just a tad bit less expensive, and a whole lot more fun.
SILENCER SATURDAY #281: Let It Flow Through You – HUXWRX FLOW 762 Ti

We paused the series last week in observance of Memorial Day and to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. This week we return with a look at a highly anticipated suppressor – the HUXWRX FLOW 762 Ti. Can it match the performance of its smaller and heavier steel sibling the FLOW 556K? Let’s take a look.
Breakthrough Clean Technologies Suppressor Cleaner – No More Dip?
Cleaning your suppressor isn’t something you’re going to do every day, maybe not even every year, but it’s something that does occasionally need to be done any time you’re running exceptionally dirty ammunition or you’re a high-volume suppressor shooter. While you do have the option of using an ultrasonic cleaner or using the infamous “dip” method, this new option on the market from Breakthrough Clean Technologies seems to eliminate the toxic risk of the dip and the overwhelming cost of purchasing a proper ultrasonic cleaner. While I’m a proponent of using the cheap, yet toxic dip method, this stuff looks to be a much less risky way to accomplish the task of cleaning out your suppressor. Breakthrough Clean Technologies Suppressor Cleaner is a new 100% biodegradable, virtually odorless suppressor cleaner that can help not only clean your suppressor but also reduce the frequency that you’ll have to clean your suppressor with its ammonia-free formula.
