SILENCER SATURDAY #333: 'If Money Was No Object' – NFA Grail Guns
Good evening everyone and welcome back to TFB’s Silencer Saturday brought to you by Yankee Hill Machine, manufacturers of the brand new YHM 338 Bad Larry Suppressor. Last week we revisited the S&W M&P 15-22 and the Gemtech INTEGRA integrally suppressed upper. This week we discuss our NFA Grail Guns and the hypothetical question of ‘if money were no object, what would you buy’. So, what is your list of NFA firearms that you’d buy if you hit the Powerball jackpot?

SILENCER SATURDAY #333: ‘If Money Was No Object’ – NFA Grail Guns
I have to apologize for the generic Silencer Saturday content this week. I was called away unexpectedly and am just now headed home on the last flight of the night. RIP Uncle Bob.
I posted earlier this week about the new B&T SPR86 integrally suppressed rifle chambered in 8.6BLK and it reminded me that I needed to review and update my list of NFA “Grail Guns”. For those of you looking at me a bit sideways, a ‘grail gun’ is a firearm that you have wanted for a long time, lusted after, or considered selling an organ for. Basically, if a large sum of money fell into your life and you wanted to by your dream gun, which one would you choose.
Surprisingly, my ‘grail gun’ list hasn’t changed much from when I posted my picks a few years ago. An original Welrod integrally suppressed pistol is technically still on the list, but the B&T USA SIX9 has satiated that thirst for the time being.
Another asterisk on my list is the MP5SD. Technically, I guess my TPM clone fills that role nicely (the only gun I ever paid for on layaway because I wanted it so badly). But I really want H&K to release a true semiautomatic MP5SD.
Lastly, the AS Val or the VSS Vintorez made the list, but the 9×39 development in America seems to have dropped off. It looks like 8.6BLK may be the better answer to the specialized Russian 9×39 round and platforms.
