Magpul Industries just announced their new Magpul P320 Grip modules for the popular SIG Sauer P320 pistols. This new aftermarket boost for the P320 will be available in full sized and compact versions, with two versions each; with a manual safety cutout, and one without. For new shooters unfamiliar with the SIG P320, unlike nearly every other pistol, its Fire Control Unit (FCU) is the serialized part, separate from the grip, which means the FCU can be swapped into different grips to meet user’s needs and desires.

MAGPUL P320 GRIP MODULES

The EHG™ SG9™ Grip – SIG P320™ is Magpul’s official designation, and the description from their website can be read below.

The EHG SG9 feaures an integral “carry-sized” magazine well flare and includes a Picatinny rail for lights or lasers. As an added bonus, the frame also comes with the Magpul-designed Magazine Release installed, which is reversible for left-handed shooters. This steel magazine release is finished in QPQ to resist corrosion and wear, and the release’s contoured surface features custom jimping to ensure positive engagement with the shooter’s finger when changing magazines. The compact frame wears a ¾-scale TSP texturing to provide a sure purchase on the grip, even in wet conditions. The frame is approximately 1.25ʺ wide and weighs just over 4 ounces. For additional retention measures, a lanyard slot is included at the bottom of the frame’s backstrap.

  • I generally like Magpuls design language but these just don't look substantially different than the factory Sig modules to my eyes. I have a difficult time understanding why I would buy one of these over factory with so many other options out there.

My only question is why didn't Magpul do this sooner like when Wilson Combat and Polymer80 came out with their versions? A bit late to the game it should have been a lay-up considering their in the polymer furniture game. The only thing ill give Magpul over the P80 Grip Module is they're coming out with a Compact version from out the gate.
