Ed Brown Announces Limited Edition EVO CCO9 1911
For more than half a century, Ed Brown has been in the business of improving guns. While the man himself retired in 2010, after many years of work on a variety of guns with a particular specialization in high-end 1911s, the company is still going strong under the care of Ed’s sons Travis and Wade. The brand’s focus on elite 1911s continues, although they still do a variety of other work as well. Their 1911 magazines in particular are considered by many aficionados to be among the best you can buy. Now they’ve announced a new limited edition version of one of their popular 9mm 1911 models, the EVO CCO9. Get the details on this special release in the press release copied below.

The company’s website lists the EVO CCO9’s pricing as $2,995. This puts it at the more affordable end of the company’s 1911 offerings, with most of their John Moses Browning-derived designs reaching costs well into the $3000s, and sometimes higher. They even offer an exquisite and lavish “ Signature Edition” that they describe as a “safe-queen” featuring “over-the-top cosmetic options” meant for “the exhibition collector”, which is priced at $8,195. That makes the EVO CCO9 look relatively wallet-friendly by comparison. What do you think of this trimmed-down 9mm 1911? Do you plan to pick up an EVO CCO9? Do you have any experience with any of the company’s other 1911s, and what do you think of them? Let us know in the comments below! See you at the range.

Yeah ... sign me up ...
I'm not sure that 5 times the price of my current favorite 1911 will make me shoot better. I'll probably have too many tears in my eyes to see the target ...
