NEW Faxon FX7 Bolt Action Product Line (1)

Faxon Firearms have announced the availability of their new bolt action product line called FX7 which was first shown at SHOT 2023. The Faxon FX7 product family includes the FX7 Pershing bolt action rifle, barreled actions, receiver assemblies and pre-fit barrels. Let’s take a closer look at the specs and features of the new Faxon FX7 line of products.

The core of the Faxon Firearms FX7 product line is the action. It is a Remington 700 footprint action compatible with not only Rem 700 stocks and chassis but also triggers. The receiver is made out of 416 stainless steel, has a matte or polished DLC finish, an integrated recoil lug, and an integrated 20-MOA Picatinny rail. The bolt is made of 4340 carbon steel, has six locking lugs (two rows of three lugs), a 70-degree throw, a spring-loaded plunger ejector, an M16-style extractor, a Flame fluted body and an interchangeable handle. The action will be available with .223 Remington, .308 Winchester and short magnum cartridge compatible bolt faces.

The FX7 Pershing rifle is currently available chambered in .308 Winchester with a 22″ barrel and 6.5 Creedmoor with a 24″ barrel. In addition to these caliber and barrel length options, 18″ 308 Win, 20″ 6.5 CM and 16″ 8.6 BLK barreled actions and prefit barrels are also available. The button-rifled barrels are made of 416R stainless steel, feature 5R riflings, honed and lapped bores, nitrided finish, recessed crowns and 5/8×24 muzzle threads. The Faxon FX7 Pershing rifles come with Faxon/MDT co-branded chassis fitted with MDT Skeleton stocks and finished in grey Cerakote. These rifles are fed from AICS and AW pattern detachable box magazines. The overall length of the Faxon FX7 Pershing rifle in .308 Win with a 22″ barrel is 41.75″ and it weighs in at 12 lbs.

The MSRP of the Faxon FX7 Pershing rifle is $2600 for both chambering options. The prices of receiver assemblies are $899 for the matte DLC finished version and $999 for the polished DLC one. The barreled actions cost $1114 to $1149 depending on the caliber, barrel length and profile. The prices of pre-fit barrels vary from $319 to $349.

    I love my Seekins HIT, but having no aftermarket stock/chassis compatibility is a big bummer that I didn't realize when I bought the rifle. This looks like an amazing option, affordable barrels too if they can manage to have them available.
