But we’re happy with the perfectly edited still-life photo as well. Above you see a German Soldier conduct offensive operations as part of Exercise Crystal Arrow, from Camp Adazi, Latvia. Within a few years, the Heckler & Koch G36 will be history in the German Armed Forces. It’s been in service since 1997.

    NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Latvia

    With enemy forces crossing into the friendly Area of Operations, the Main Defensive Battle for Exercise CRYSTAL ARROW 23 has begun. Battle Group elements remain tactically engaged and with defensive positions reinforced they are prepared to defend their territory.
    Exercise CRYSTAL ARROW 2023 is the NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Latvia’s Combat Readiness Evaluation (CREVAL). During the operational training, the Battle Group will confirm efficiency in conducting combat manoeuvres with Allied units within the Latvian Mechanized Infantry Brigade. With over 3,000 soldiers from 13 NATO countries, Exercise CRYSTAL ARROW allows to further enhance interoperability among all participating Allied nations.
