We’re excited to announce the launch of our new MDT Black GRND-POD. Most of us love the classic black look and now our most affordable bipod is available to match your bolt-action or AR platform rifle. The MDT GRND-POD Bipod was designed to maximize versatility, as well as cost savings, while retaining features that we, through your feedback, knew to be most important in a precision rifle bipod. Now available in Picatinny and ARCA.

The GRND-POD features up to 40° of side-to-side cant, adjustable leg length from 4.5″ to 9″, and convenient one-handed operation with its large enhanced buttons and levers. The new bipod will be compatible with MDT’s CKYE-POD feet or ATLAS feet if you prefer to swap the stock ones out for those. For those of you who don’t mind the color, the GRND-POD is also available in green as can be seen throughout the article.

It looks like a decent bipod, but what the hell is that name? GrInd pod? GrOUnd pod? Please make a pronunciation guide or when the inevitable gen 2 comes out, give a name people understand. As if the CKYE-POD (skypod?) wasn't bad enough
I was excited: "A poor man's Atlas! Finally!" Then I looked at the price. $200? When original Atlas starts at $220?
Is it really impossible to make Atlas-like bipod which works (unlike the Chinese knock-offs) under $200, or is it that the retailers don't want to?
