Do you have a PSA AK-V and looking to modify it beyond a simple drop-in handguard? Rifle Dynamics is offering an AK-V Quickhatch conversion service on their website. When I was out with Rifle Dynamics helping to film some of their guns in slow motion, they brought out their post-sample PSA AK-V Quickhatch so we could film some of it and I got to pull the trigger on it a bit.

Overhaul your PSA AK-V into an effective and compact subgun with our AK-V Quickhatch conversion. This service will replace the front end assembly with our monolithic Quickhatch MLOK handguard and includes all the “spa treatments” our pistol builds undergo in the shop.

Last year Rifle Dynamics came out with their short buffer for use in the KP9 PCC. Well, they put one in their AK-V Quickhatch and wanted to compare it to the factory PSA buffer. We swapped their short buffer for my factory AK-V buffer and I filmed them with the dust cover off so we could see the bolt cycle.

If you have a 9mm AK-V and want to get it converted into an AK-V Quickhatch, be prepared to save a bit. The Rifle Dynamics AK-V Quickhatch conversion starts at $1500. Here are some notes from their website.

This package is exclusive to Palmetto State Armory AK-V Pistol models only. It is not applicable to rifle length AK-Vs at this time. Nor is it applicable to any other 9mm AK.

If you are unsure what you have please contact us via email before purchasing. Orders that are placed for Pistols that do not apply to the aforementioned models will incur a 5% reprocessing fee for refunds.

Please note we do not work on any firearms registered in NY, CT, or MA.

Estimated lead time for all conversions is approximately 8-12 weeks. For the quickest turnaround you will need to send your pistol in within 5-7 days of making your online deposit. The lead time will start the day your pistol is logged into our inventory.

Please be advised this is an upgrade package and does not include repairs. If there are preexisting issues with your pistol that you would like addressed please contact our staff ahead of time for evaluation.
