Not so long ago when someone mentioned 5.7×28, you could think of the handful of guns that might be chambered in that cartridge. Today it’s a completely different story as this caliber’s expansion seems to be neverending. I didn’t even realize MPA made a MAC10 clone chambered in 5.7, and clearly, this one has existed long enough for plenty of modifications to be made.

MAC10/11 pattern guns are so simple in their function that the design really hasn’t changed since the original. Aside from basic controls, there’s really not much in the way of features that’s changed over the years. So I guess adding a new caliber doesn’t seem that crazy to think about. Sure you could buy a Lage upper for your transferrable, but I don’t think anyone’s spending that kind of money on a closed-bolt semi-automatic.
A Cerakoted gun in a now mainstream(ish) caliber, it’s anyone’s guess who’s in the market for this or how much it’s really worth. I mean would you spend $600 on this? I guess we’ll find out. That doesn’t answer the real question though. So and as always I leave it up to you, the readers, to decide.
