Welcome once again to our Photo Of The Day! We are in Accra, Ghana, and the Volta region located in the eastern part of Ghana, bordering Togo to the east. The region is named after the Volta River, which runs through it and is one of the largest rivers in West Africa. Above you see a short-barreled IWI Tavor carried by a Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service soldier, as he climbs a ladder while clearing a boat. I’m sure a bullpup is quite appreciated during this kind of exercise.

Flintlock is U.S. Africa Command’s premier and largest annual special operations exercise that strengthens key partner nations throughout Africa, in partnership with other international special operations forces.
