MODTAC Releases NEW Third Generation U-RAC Suppressor Shield

If you shoot a suppressed gas gun, you’ve probably figured out that suppressors get a little toasty. I learned the hard way. To prevent burns and heat mirage, fabric wraps were the standard for a long time. Now, however, MODTAC has changed the landscape of suppressor covers. They offer rigid, free-float, carbon fiber suppressor shields for a number of systems, all of which have quick disconnect capabilities. This year, MODTAC has continued its growth and is releasing its brand new Gen 3.0 U-RAC.

Suppressors @ TFB:

MODTAC, America’s veteran-owned and operated leader in rigid Suppressor Shields, is excited to announce the latest generation of the U-RAC (Universal Rail Attach Coupler). The official release is Friday, 02/17, but subscribers to the MODTAC newsletter get exclusive access and can order theirs on Wednesday, 02/15, before the general public.

The MODTAC Universal Rail Attach Coupler, or U-RAC, will fit almost any rifle with a top Picatinny rail. When ordering, you can choose between AR-10, AR-15, HK-416, and MCX/MPX. Gen 3.0 models have an updated outer geometry, as well as an internal system that guarantees the shield will not be over or under-torqued. The tubes are made from spun carbon fiber. The U-RAC is also available with an integrated UNITY FUSION folding backup iron sight.

I think A-Tec has a better solution. A ring that screws on the end of the silencer that accepts a mirage band. Then you use the mirage band like normal.

Is cheaper, doesn't add weight and doesn't close off the suppressor
