Speer and CCI ammunition have just announced two new ammunition offerings that will be heavily showcased at SHOT Show 2023. However, in advance of the show, they’ve released all the information you could ask for on these two new ammunition products including CCI’s new polymer-coated Clean-22 Hypervelocity and Speer’s new Gold Dot G2 Carbine 135-gr ammo. Speer has one of the most well-trusted names when it comes to personal defense ammunition and CCI shares similar fame when it comes to reliable and accurate rimfire ammunition.

New Speer Gold Dot G2 Carbine and CCI Clean-22 Hyper Velocity Ammunition

LEWISTON, Idaho – January 5, 2023 – Speer and CCI Ammunition are proud to announce new ammunition options for 2023. Two all-new products will be showcased and on display at the 2023 SHOT Show (Booth No. 11838), January 17–20 at the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada. These new additions include Speer’s Gold Dot Carbine and CCI’s Clean-22 Hyper Velocity ammunition.

New Speer Gold Dot Carbine produces ideal velocities through carbine-length barrels and cycles flawlessly. The G2-style, elastomer-filled bullet nose is tuned to produce extremely effective penetration and expansion through common barriers. Available in one 135 grain 9mm Luger load.

New CCI Clean-22 22 LR Hyper Velocity clocks in at 1,550 fps, while its exclusive purple, polymer bullet coating reduces fouling, especially in suppressed rimfires.

I’m personally hoping that both Speer and CCI will have a booth at this year’s SHOT Show 2023 Industry Day at the range so we can try out some of this new ammunition. CCI Clean has been one of my favorite ammunitions to buy when it comes to suppressed shooting just because of how little fouling it leaves in your pistol or rifle and Speer’s new Gold Dot G2 Carbine looks like it could turn nearly any PCC into a serious contender as a self-defense weapon.
