Ruger’s affordable Wrangler single-action rimfire revolver is now available in three new barrel lengths. Wranglers with 6.5″, 7.5″, and 3.75″ barrels are now part of the lineup.

Wrangler with 6.5″ barrel

The standard Wrangler features a full-size grip and a 4.6″ barrel. A smaller version with bird’s head grips and a 3.75″ barrel was introduced a few years ago, so that barrel length is not truly new. However, Ruger’s new models for 2023 all feature the standard grip style of the original Wrangler, so the short-barrel/full-grip combination is new. As with the original Wrangler, these new models are compatible with grip panels from the Ruger Single Six.

3.75″ Wrangler

All three lengths are available in three Cerakote color options: black, silver, and burnt bronze. The new Wrangler models feature the same construction as the original models, with aluminum frames and cold hammer forged barrels. Ruger’s transfer bar mechanism is standard on this revovler so it can be carried safely with a loaded chamber under the hammer. Ruger did not list an availability date for the new models so keep an eye out for them at your friendly local gun store.
