TFB Weekly Web Deals 36: Stocking Stuffers for Gun Guys
Ammo always makes for a great stocking stuffer. We all use it, we all shoot it (some more than others), and we could all use more of it. Pretty much everyone could use an extra box or two of 5.56/.223, and nearly everyone I know is in dire need of a fresh mag or two of their defensive carry ammunition. Just casually ask your friends what they carry or shoot and you’ll have a surefire way to let them know you’re looking out for them this gift-giving season.
Frontier cartridge features Hornady bullets in 223 Remington. Applications range from plinking, target shooting and hunting to law enforcement training and self-defense. American made and military grade are the hallmarks of Frontier cartridge, a new Hornady division.
The Norma monolithic hollow point(MHP) is an all copper bullet with massive expansion and great stopping power. It is designed to reliably feed into all pistol and carbine chambers and is calibrated for consistent devasting terminal performance, regardless of barrel length. By achieving excellent expansion, repeatable time-after-time, the Norma MHP is poised to set a new standard for personal defense ammunition.
Cleaning Supplies and Gear
These are items that both seasoned gun owners and newcomers can all enjoy. While there is a certain charm to having your old set of rags, rods, brushes, and chemicals, sometimes those things are in need of replacement or updating. Below are a few options that work for virtually anyone who owns a firearm.
TekMat cleaning mats are the best selling, most durable, and most advanced cleaning mats available on the market today. These tough mats feature a temperature resistant and durable fiber surface that has been directly bonded to 3mm of neoprene rubber. This soft surface protects your firearms from scratches and dings from your work surface while protecting your work surface from scratches and dings, as well as the harsh chemicals and solvents that are often a part of gun cleaning. As an added bonus, they make excellent desk and mouse pads!
This cleaning mat is 17″ x 12″, making it great for handguns. The dye-sublimation print features a grey TekMat logo.
Paragon WLC Weapon Light Cleaner is made to remove carbon build up on the lens of your light, so that it stays as bright as possible.
Paragon WLC is something I’ve been using for about two years now and I’m still on the same 5ml I originally bought. Even if you’re a die-hard fan of using Q-Tips and toothpaste, this non-toxic solution works faster, is less of a mess and is also guaranteed not to scratch your weapon-mounted light lenses.
Having an extensive collection of pistols doesn’t need to mean having an equally extensive collection of specific cleaning kits. Take care of all of your firearms with calibers ranging from .22 – .45 with the Otis Technology universal pistol cleaning kit. Made right here in the U.S.A., the universal pistol cleaning kit contains everything you need to keep your collection clean in a compact, lightweight, soft pack case.
Great for your friends who get a little too spray-happy with normal CLP
The BreakFree Mil-Spec CLP needle oiler can withstand many rugged environments, including those with temperatures that range anywhere from –65 degrees Fahrenheit to 475 degrees Fahrenheit. The needle applicator bottle it comes in makes it easy to apply the oil for purposes of cleaning, lubricating, or preserving. This oil is trusted by many military members and was the first to pass the MIL-SPEC 63460 standard. This oil is strong enough to clean fouling materials as difficult as burnt powder residue from the weapon’s bore, moving parts, and exterior. The BreakFree formula also protects your weapon against friction and general corrosion.
