Shortly after the release of their HK MP5 trigger, Timney Triggers announced yet another expansion of their extensive product line by introducing the Impact Shotgun (Impact SG) trigger which is designed for AR-style semi-auto shotguns. Describing the design of this new trigger, Timney points out that “all trigger parts have been engineered for excellence and are precision machined from premium materials to guarantee a lifetime of dependable service”. Let’s take a closer look.

    Timney Triggers @ TFB:

Timney has been asked for a trigger at a lower price without compromising on quality for budget-build, AR-style semi-auto, magazine-fed shotguns. You asked, Timney listened. Introducing the Impact SG – our newest IMPACT designed specifically for these AR-style shotguns.

Timney Triggers Impact Shotgun trigger has no stamped or metal injection molded (MIM) parts and its main components (except for springs) were designed from the ground up to be manufactured by CNC machining. The housing is machined out of aluminum and has a blue anodized finish. The hammer is made of tool steel, is heat treated and nickel plated. The trigger shoe and disconnector are also machined out of tool steel and heat treated but have a black finish. The trigger pull weight is set at the factory at 3-4 pounds. This is of course a drop-in trigger and the detailed installation instructions can be found in the product manual which you can download here. All Timney Impact SG triggers are hand assembled and each one is tested before shipping.
