New MDT TIMBR Frontier Bolt Action Rifle Stocks

    Introduced at SHOT Show 2022, the MDT TIMBR Frontier bolt action rifle stocks are now available for purchase. This family of stocks is designed to combine the aesthetics and feel of laminate wood stocks with the precision, rigidity and modularity of aluminum chassis. Let’s take a closer look at the features and specs of new MDT TIMBR Frontier stocks.

    MDT TIMBR Frontier Stock – Charcoal

    MDT TIMBR Frontier stocks are drop-in products requiring no gunsmithing for installing the barreled actions into them. These stocks feature a 6061 aluminum micro chassis with V-block bedding and AICS magazine compatible bottom metal with an ambidextrous mag release lever. The birch hardwood laminate furniture is equipped with a toolless cheekpiece height and length of pull adjustment mechanisms, M-LOK rail sections at the bottom portion of the forearm and buttstock, and interchangeable rubber over-molded grips available in vertical and angled configurations. The cheekpiece is foam covered to provide a more comfortable cheek weld. The MDT TIMBR Frontier stocks allow free floating of the barrels and are compatible with barrels of up to 1.25″ in diameter. The overall weight of these stocks is 4lbs.

    MDT TIMBR Frontier Stock – Green Mountain Camo

    MDT TIMBR Frontier stocks are offered in two colors of the wood: Charcoal and Green Mountain Camo. Currently, the only available version of the stock is the one compatible with Remington 700 Short Action barreled actions, however, versions for the following barreled actions are announced and will be available later: Savage Short Action, Howa Short Action, Weatherby Vanguard Short Action, Tikka T1X and Tikka T3/T3X Short Action. The MSRP of the Remington 700 Short Action compatible MDT TIMBR Frontier stock is $1,149.95 (identical for both color options).
