Desert Brutality 2022 is right around the corner and set to take place between November 11-13 in St. George, Utah at the Southern Utah Practical Shooting Range. The Southern Utah Practical Shooting Range is back up and running again as the host location for Desert Brutality after it had to go through an extensive remodel after issues arose surrounding residential buildup around the location of the range. Brutality matches across the country are a great way to get out and have a lot of fun, competitive yet friendly environment where you can test your gear in some more practical shooting scenarios than you’d be able to at the indoor shooting range. If you think you might be interested in participating in this year’s match, there are still several slots left and registration info can be found down below! Just like in the past, Russell Phagan, who is a core component of every Brutality match, is here to give us the rundown on this year’s event, and a few small previews about what competitors can expect to encounter during the course of the two-day event. Please welcome back Russel to the show!

TFB Behind The Gun Podcast Episode #45: Desert Brutality With Russell Phagan
We’ve brought Russell Phagan back on the TFB Behind The Gun Podcast today to talk a bit about Desert Brutality in anticipation of the event! Desert Brutality is a friendly firearms competition put on by InRangeTV that makes the movement just as much part of the competition as the shooting. This year’s Desert Brutality has had some division changes to simplify things and Russel is here today to not only go over the finer details about what to expect at this year’s Desert Brutality but also share with us some of his favorite aspects of previous competitions. Russell also goes over each of the separate divisions for those who want or need a verbal explanation for each of the separate divisions you can compete in at this year’s Desert Brutality. Please once again welcome Russell to the Show!

If you’ve said that buying a silencer is too expensive, too long of a wait, or that the paperwork is too confusing, you’re not alone. Buying a silencer is a big deal, and we don’t take it lightly either! But it’s the easiest it’s ever been!
