Suppressors and integrally suppressed rifles are becoming increasingly popular among hunters across the globe. Most of the major European hunting arms manufacturers now have such solutions in their catalogs. J.P. Sauer & Sohn is no exception. At the beginning of the year, we reported about the release of a Sauer 404 bolt action rifle featuring an integral silencer. The company has now announced a silenced version of their 101 bolt action rifle with a similar integral suppressor design. The new rifle is called Sauer 101 Silence GTI.

At a price that so far only Germany‘s oldest manufacturer of hunting rifles can offer. This is the perfect bolt action rifle for a new generation!

The suppressor of the Sauer 101 Silence GTI rifle is attached to the muzzle and extends back almost completely enclosing the barrel. The cold hammer forged barrel has a rather thin profile to provide a large internal suppressor volume at an outside suppressor diameter that is no thicker than the chamber area of the barrel. Sauer claims that this suppressor reduces the report by up to 28 dB depending on the caliber.
