POTD: Strike Industries – P365 with ACRO
Photo Of The Day: Some say that the Aimpoint ACRO looks like a miniature toaster, but it did rather well in TFB’s review back in 2021. Did you ever try to attach an ACRO to a handgun like the SIG Sauer P365? If you did, I assume you improved your hit probability by quite a margin, especially at longer distances?

Let's take my concealed carry piece and put a light on it! And a honking big optic so it can be twice as big as it was!
Just because you can does not mean you should.
I’m sorry to offend 50% of the community, but pistols with optics and/or attachments, short of a suppressor for wet work, is ridiculous. It’s more unnecessary bulk that instills false confidence. I would further argue many shooters, especially those new in the realm, will bypass the fundamentals and one day find themselves in a jam as a result. Lastly, I shudder to think of what a “tricked out” pistol would look like through the eyes of an uninformed jury deciding if you spend the rest of your life in prison. It’s a leftist prosecutors dream to show the “highly modified killing machine” you used instead of a “regular” hand gun in your defensive shooting.
I’m not saying that’s right. Not at all. But it’s a regular occurrence that people need to keep in mind and be prepared to defend against. That’s been my experience developed over 30 years shooting and carrying. To each their own, just don’t act surprised if/when the day comes. Stay united ladies and gents and remember, the only good communist is a dead communist!
