In the Spring of 2018, TFB reported about the new modular Steyr Mannlicher SSG M1 rifle. Today we have two good-looking photos of it in action, with the spotter sitting beside the shooter. The riflescope is made by Steiner Optics.

The SSG M1 is available in .338 Lapua Magnum, .308 Winchester or 6.5 Creedmoor – with interchangeability of course. The trigger is a 2-stage adjustable and the magazine is fit for 10 rounds. The Austrian Bundesheer ordered 120 medium-range sniper rifles and the Special Forces (Austrian Jagdkommando) received theirs first.
