The world is hungry for visual storytelling, and TFB’s Photo Of The Day does its best to keep the feed alive. Today we have live-fire on the menu, from the shooting range at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, earlier this year.

Above you see Midshipman Maddie Crest, with the Naval Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, aiming down her sights. This is from their Career Orientation and Training for Midshipmen program, which is a basic introduction and training event to familiarize NROTC Midshipmen with the primary warfare designators that they will eventually serve in, as well as provide them with exposure to what is often their first fleet experience.
