POTD: Meprolight Tigon on FN SCAR

    Meprolight Tigon

Photo Of The Day: Today we have some futuristic-looking images from SK Group’s Meprolight and their Tigon, a hybrid thermal & red dot sight for day & night target acquisition. As you can see, the Meprolight Tigon is mounted on an FN SCAR.

The Tigon sight integrates a red dot sight with uncooled thermal imaging technology in a single product, which mounts with a quick-release mount on a Picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913).

During the day the Meprolight Tigon offers a large transparent display window with a clearly-visible reticle for rapid target acquisition, which can be used with both eyes open. When darkness falls, the thermal image can be projected onto the same display. The Tigon is powered by two AA batteries.

The newly released Mepro Tigon, for MIL / LE only, combines a red-dot for daytime with a powerful thermal optic for nighttime. No need for “clip ons” worrying about zeros, etc. With the Mepro Tigon you now have a 24 hour solution to all your sighting needs!
