Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 23. The subject of LPVOs (Low Power Variable Optics) is a hotly debated subject among the TFB staff and to a certain extent the rest of the firearms community. Love em’ or hate em’, LPVOs offer you a lot of advantages over fixed power optics or simple red dot and magnifier combos. They are considered by many to be fairly lightweight compared to some fixed power optics and they also tend to offer you an illuminated reticle that is often paired with a BDC (bullet drop compensation) reticle that allows you to take more accurate shots at a distance without having to use Kentucky windage. Like nearly everything else in the firearms world, you’re dealing with a compromise when it comes to LPVOs so you should always make sure that your chosen optic matches the type of shooting you’ll be doing. If you’ve decided on an LPVO but haven’t picked one up yet, today we’ll have a small selection of LPVOs that are on sale. The average price of an LPVO tends to hover somewhere around the $750 mark but can be as low as only a couple hundred bucks or as high as several thousand dollars – no matter what you’re after in terms of price and quality, there’s a usually a sale out there for you. Today I’ve picked out a handful for you guys to check out in case you’re in the market for a new LPVO.

A top-tier scope for the AR platform, this version of Vortex’s 1-6×24 Razor HD Gen II-E sheds 4 oz. from the weight of earlier HD Gen II models, making it even lighter and more suitable for operation atop a lightweight Modern Sporting Rifle.
This Razor HD Gen II-E model has the Vortex VMR-2 MRAD reticle, which is impressively accurate in short- to medium-range engagements. The VMR-2 is a hashmarked ranging reticle with an illuminated center dot that uses MRAD-based subtension lines for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections. MRAD is a highly precise unit of measurement often used by military and law enforcement precision shooters. For reference, there are 6,283 MRADs in a circle! We also offer this exact scope with the same VMR-2 reticle graduated in MOA
The EOTech Vudu 1-6×24 is a compact, yet fully loaded rifle scope designed to meet – and exceed – the expectations of the 3-Gun competitor and serious hunter. Starting with a rugged, 30mm aluminum tube, the Vudu 1-6×24 is equipped with the EOTech’s AR-coated glass for superb clarity and definition, backed up by a surgically precise turret system to help you make that critical long-range shot.
The EOTech Speed Ring reticle permits fast target engagement at low power, but at higher power provides the resolution and accuracy required to tackle longer shots. This is a first focal plane reticle, so the Vudu 1-6×24 easily delivers split-second ranging at all magnification levels.
Dominate the competition with the Strike Eagle 1-8x24mm Riflescope! This LPVO features an aircraft-grade aluminum construction to stand up to heavy field use, and is equipped with Vortex’s exclusive EBR-8 reticle. This reticle optimized for use with 5.56 and .308 cartridges, and is composed of an ultra-fine 0.75 MOA free-floating dot in the center of a 12 MOA semi-circle. The dot and semi-circle sits atop a pyramid-type structure of hash marks – this allows the shooter to accurately compensate for bullet drop on targets at 300, 400, 500, and 600 yards, as well as 5 and 10 mph wind holds to accommodate wind drift. The EBR-8’s first focal plane position also allows the Strike Eagle to be used like a red dot sight when set to low magnification, and a removable throw leaver allows the shooter to quickly dial up the power for a fast transition to targets at extended ranges. Other features of the Strike Eagle include an HD optical system and fully multi-coated lenses for outstanding light transmission and a crisp sight picture. In addition, the Strike Eagle 1-8x24mm Riflescope features a ranging function in the reticle, allowing the user to quickly determine the distance to targets up to 300 yards away.
The Leupold VX-6HD 1-6x24mm is begging to go where other scopes can’t. Leupold gave it new high-definition lenses for sharpened clarity, and the Twilight Max Light Management System for even greater low-light performance. To take it totally over the top, they added an in-scope cant indicator, a throw lever for fast magnification changes, and an even more robust erector system. Your VX-6HD is ready for anything and everything.
The Sig Tango MSR LPVO features Industry leading light transmission and optical clarity for any situation. High Performance 6x optical system with low dispersion glass. Integrated thread in throw leaver for quick magnification changes. Illuminated MSR BDC-6 reticle with 11x brightness levels. Lay flat flip-back lens covers included. Dependable waterproof, shockproof, and fog-proof performance. Includes ALPHA-MSR 1 piece aluminum cantilever mount.
