Bergara Small Batch No. 2 - The M40-ISH
Bergara North America announced their Small Batch custom firearms division back in April of the past year. Shortly after the announcement, they released the first gun of their custom shop, the Sidekick bolt action pistol. The company has now introduced the second firearm in this line, the limited edition M40-ISH bolt-action rifle which is created as a tribute to the US Marine Corps M40 sniper rifle.

Bergara M40-ISH is chambered in .308 Winchester and has a 24″ stainless steel barrel that features a heavy contour profile, Cerakote finish, 1:10″ twist rate and 5/8-24 threaded muzzle. The thread protector is designed to blend with the barrel profile to resemble the non-threaded M40 barrels. The rifle is built on a Bergara Premier action that has a Cerakoted floating-head 2-lug bolt with a tapered bolt nose and sliding plate extractor. The action is glass bedded into an OD Green McMillan A4 fiberglass stock that was originally designed for the USMC. The stock features an adjustable cheek rest and spacer-adjustable length of pull.
Another original USMC part used in the Bergara M40-ISH rifle is the Badger Ordnance M5 bottom metal which is compatible with AICS pattern detachable box magazines. The M40-ISH rifle also features a TriggerTech Primary Trigger the pull weight of which can be adjusted from 1.5 to 4 lbs. The overall length of the Bergara M40-ISH rifle is 44.5″ and it weighs in at 12 lbs.
Bergara M40-ISH bolt action rifle is listed on the company’s website at $3,499. As mentioned above, this is a limited edition firearm and there will be only 200 M40-ISH rifles made. The M40-ISH rifles ship in custom Explorer hard cases and come with one five-round AICS magazine and a Small Batch Challenge Coin.

"M40-ish"? So is it an M40 or is it not? At least there's honesty in their advertising?
I own a couple of M4-ish rifles. Just like an M4, but no select fire and they have 16" barrels.
Holy crap... 12 lbs
