Welcome everyone to the 155th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only has a Fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, decided the PCC converted 1911 was a hot gat.

HGFC – Ultimate 1911 PCC or Overmatch Travesty? — Poll Results

Votes for this edition of HGFC seemed suspiciously high, so we’ll be launching a full-scale investigation into what happened in order to maintain HGFC’s integrity.  Kidding, but we are looking into this.  At this time the original auction is still up while the custom Stoeger awaits a new home.  We hope it finds one very soon.

In this week’s edition of HGFC, we look at a Samurai-themed Glock 43X chambered in 9mm. As is tradition, this carved-up carry gat is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $699.99 Buy It Now.

Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:

“I wonder if the slide is made from steel folded 20 bajillion times in the shadow of Mount Fuji by the ancient Glock masters of Japan, who clearly make a superior pistol to the ones in Europe” – Tim C.

“だめ! バカヤロ! なんであね?” – Rusty S.

“When your style screams samurai but your pistol screams seppuku. – Luke C.

Selling this customized carry gat is GunBroker seller fuquaygun1, located in Fuquay Varina NC.  Let’s see what they had to say about this one-of-a-kind carry piece.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Last Samurai or Wanna Cry?

This series has featured a lot of modified Glocks.  Just when I think people have run out of ideas, someone comes along and creates something like this.  Of course, it wouldn’t be an over-modified GunBroker Glock without the plastic factory sights still intact.  We have time to cut and paint the slide, but we can’t afford better sights.  But hey, at least the right-hand side of the gun looks kinda cool.

The left-hand side is another story altogether.  I’m still trying to figure out what exactly that facial expression is, but I’m going to go with emotionally distraught samurai.  This has to be one of the most bipolar firearms I’ve ever seen.  Even if I’m forced to admit the engraving quality is very good.

What a Glock 43X like this is worth in an open market is anyone’s guess.  This seems like a gun someone asked for, then seemingly lost interest in.  Of course, I could be wrong, and perhaps there’s a larger market that actually likes guns like this.  So as always, I leave it up to you, the readers, to decide.
