The combat phase of the Vigilant Fox exercise has started today in Niinisalo.
Today the focus of the exercise has been on maneuver training with the Pori Brigade’s Readiness Unit and the US troops engaging in offensive while the Readiness Units from Guard Jaeger Regiment and Karelia Brigade operated as an adversary alongside with UK troops. The joint exercising lasted from the first live fire drill in the early morning until the sunset.

The first day of combat phase went as planned and integration of techniques and tactics improved even further. Training alongside international partners offers an opportunity for mutual sharing of competence and skills especially for the Readiness Units of the Army when the command language is English. The goal of the combined training of the readiness units is to integrate our procedures with international partners in order to make the troops work efficiently both separately and together. Together we are more.
