It’s summertime. Instead of reading Silencer Saturday, I’d like to see everyone out shooting, spending time with friends and family, and appreciating all the good things that life has to offer. And, it’s too freaking hot to record video at the moment. So the next couple of episodes are going to be quick looks at some new releases and I’ll run a compilation video at the end of August.
Griffin’s DUAL-LOK system is threaded in the now universal 1.375 x 24 thread pitch and is compatible with an entire lineup of muzzle brakes, flash hiders, and compensators.

The DUAL-LOK mount has two locking positions on either side of the neutral or mount on/off position.

And here is the system set in the neutral or ready-to-mount position. Notice the three exposed mount sections. Notice that the pin is resting on a raised section between the two locking positions.

The mount is fully threaded on to the flash hider and the three raised sections are flush with the beginning of the teeth section.

Twisting the mounting ring to either the right or left slides the pin into the locked position, holding the suppressor in place. Now the mounting ring is flush with the teeth section of the flash hider.

The system works as advertised, locking the mount securely in place without any movement. It takes a little time to feel your way around the system But once you get the hang of it, it threads and locks on easily.
This forward venting 5.56 rifle suppressor with the DUAL-LOK QD system sounds great. We’ll bring you a closer look and some video in the weeks ahead.
