The new PCC is obviously meant to be a higher-end option with the inclusion of such a short barrel and a stock option – you’ll definitely need to Form 4 this one. Maxim Defense says they’ve picked this barrel length to optimize for the 9mm cartridge giving you peak performance with 124gr FMJ ammunition. The new Maxim Defense MD-9 PCC is available for order now directly through Maxim Defense for an MSRP of $1,995. The MD-9 will be available in either Urban Grey, Arid, or Black MIL-SPEC+ coatings.

    No integral suppressor?

The US market is now flooded with 9 mm PCCs and especially 9 mm AR type PCCs.

I went the other way and got a RUGER PC chassis carbine (16" barrel). Then I upgraded it with ALL available M*CARBO parts, many MAGPUL parts and few TANDEMKROSS parts plus a HOLOSUN AEMS circle/dot sight. It is now ready for Steel Challenge competition.

What I like about the RUGER PC is the short blowback, weighted bolt with buffer pad. It just plain WORKS, and works with any ammo I feed it. If only it had AR type controls, but as-is it still rocks. And it has a cold hammer forged barrel in a PCC for under $1,000.!

The ONE innovation in PCC actions I feel is overlooked is B&T's hydraulic buffer. Now they only need to make it adjustable and they will have truly revolutionized blowback PCC/sub gun design. Their buffer is short so does not need an AR type buffer tube. This permits the use of folding or fully collapsing stocks.

@Eric B. The SPC9 looks nice, but it doesn't appear to load from the pistol grip. I guess B&T thought that since their MP9 did that already, they didn't need to have more than one firearm model with that feature.
