POTD: U.S. Marines in Exercise Cold Response 2022
TFB’s Photo Of The Day is back with pictures from Exercise Cold Response 2022 that took place in Bjerkvik, Norway, in March of this year. Above you see a U.S. Marine as he provides security while conducting a movement to contact. The Marines are assigned to Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division.
Below U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jacqueline Arre provides imagery support in a maneuver element. Arre is a combat photographer with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division. Hence the camera she’s carrying.
A U.S. Marine loads packs onto a BV206 Tracked Terrain Vehicle. This vehicle is a real beast in snow, mud and off-road.
Exercise Cold Response ’22 is a biennial Norwegian national readiness and defense exercise that takes place across Norway, with participation from each of its military services, as well as from 26 additional North Atlantic Treaty Organization allied nations and regional partners.

Just like Wolfe at the Plains of Abraham or the siege of Quebec with the help of the Rangers, find the spot with such an inhospitable environment any academy nerd would declare no force could traverse, and then traverse it.
Hack the impossible. That's how victories are made.
