Hera Arms has added to their product line a new chassis designed for Ruger 10/22 semi-auto rimfire rifles. Overall, the new Hera Arms H22 chassis looks similar to and has borrowed many design solutions from their H7 bolt-action rifle chassis. Let’s take a closer look at the Hera Arms H22 chassis.

The Hera Arms H22 chassis is made of fiber-reinforced impact-modified polymer. It consists of the main chassis body with a buttstock and handguard attached to it. The handguard is made of aluminum and has M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom. The chassis also features an aluminum bedding V-block. The Hera Arms H22 is a drop-in chassis that does not require any modifications to the Ruger 10/22 action. The installation process is described in the user manual which can be downloaded HERE.

The length of pull of the Hera Arms H22 chassis can be adjusted via spacers that are sandwiched between the main body and buttstock (the chassis is shipped with two spacers). The buttstock has a skeletonized design however the chassis comes with polymer side cover panels for the stock opening which turn it into a storage compartment. The buttstock also features a rubber buttpad, polymer cheek riser and QD sling swivel sockets.

The MSRP of Hera Arms H22 chassis is €219. The chassis can be found on several US retailers’ websites such as MidwayUSA and OpticsPlanet for $159. The main body of the chassis is available in Black, Tan and OD Green color options, however, as seen in the pictures of this article, the handguard and stock accessories are black for all versions. The price of the chassis is identical for all color options.
