The Ultra Rare Beretta Revolver (The "Model 1")

James Reeves
by James Reeves

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at the Beretta Museum in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, looking at one of the rarest Berettas, the Beretta Model 1 revolver. Although Beretta holds several companies that make revolvers, few people know that Beretta made a revolver under its own name: The Beretta Model 1. Designed in Italy and built in South America, this revolver is hard to find and was made in limited numbers due to lack of commercial success. Hear about this unusual and uncommon revolver on today’s TFBTV video.

Beretta had an opportunity to exploit a hole in the US market when Colt had abandoned the revolver market for a time, also when S&W at the same time was peddling the Hillary holes.
They could have gained a foothold.

@Surf Beretta was already over a decade out of the revolver market by the time of the S&W fiasco and Colt reducing its revolver production. That's not something you can simply jump back into without having to deal with production issues (as Colt saw with its recent reintroduction of wheelguns). Timing is everything, and Beretta missed its chance to capitalize on S&W and Colt's follies by a wide margin.

A Beretta Revolver that is made in South America, I can only assume it was made by Taurus.

@Haulin' Oats Avoid reading National Interest for anything gun related. One of their authors writes the most outrageously *wrong* articles that it's astounding. His name is Kyle Mizouki or something like that. They're so bad that the typical anti-gun drivel seems well researched by comparison.
