Beretta had an opportunity to exploit a hole in the US market when Colt had abandoned the revolver market for a time, also when S&W at the same time was peddling the Hillary holes.
They could have gained a foothold.
A Beretta Revolver that is made in South America, I can only assume it was made by Taurus.
