POTD: Heckler & Koch Mark 23

Each day a different image from the world of firearms. We call this POTD, short for Photo Of The Day, and it is our daily article series where we go to great lengths trying to find the most interesting pictures for you out there. Here we have some .45 Auto for you, in a world where everything seems to circle around the 9x19mm nowadays. The Heckler & Koch Mark 23 had to pass several tests to get the final approvals from the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, including for instance a 30,000 round endurance firing test, extreme temperatures, a 96-hour salt spray test plus various sand, dust and mud tests.

Here’s what Heckler & Koch has to say about the Mark 23. ( Source)

Superior equipment for the best units. The H&K Mark 23 defeated all competitors after being subjected to the toughest comparative trials of the US Army Special Operations Command. It was adopted under the designation MK23 MOD.O, US SOCOM.

Here’s more on the subject: TFB Collab: H&K Mark 23 Special with 1911 Syndicate, H&K Mark 23 Suppressed and our review H&K MARK23 The Civilian Version MK23 SOCOM

How would you configure your Heckler & Koch Mark 23?

Pictured: A weapon that has so much hype from It's users in the Tier 0 secret snake squirrel eater IRS platoons that.... probably has or is close to the record of "most likely to just be left in an armory locker after all that money. =/"

@No one Or rather, not the users of "totally real name", but the fanboys of the weapon brand that use them as an appeal to authority.
