The Defence Forces International Sniper Competition 2022

Photo Of The Day and we have images from Óglaigh na hÉireann or Irish Defence Forces. These pictures are from the Defence Forces International Sniper Competition 2022. For sniping, they use the Accuracy International 92 (AI AW) and the Accuracy International AWM. The riflescope looks very much like a Schmidt & Bender, or do you have other ideas?

The caption reads:
The Defence Forces International Sniper Competition 2022 kicked off this week in the Glen of Imaal, Wicklow. 14 teams will compete in this year’s competition, including teams from the UK, Denmark, Sweden & France. There are also a number of Canadian Sniper Instructor’s assisting with running the competition. This year’s competition will be run over 5 strenuous days with a total of 17 scored events.
Irish Defence Forces Snipers have a proven track record in international sniper events, with a sniper team recently competing at US Army International Sniper Competition in Fort Benning, Georgia in April.

I wonder if they have totally dropped the FAL's as n.o.2 rifles and using the Steyrs whilst waiting for the trials program to deliver a replacement.
Funny to see the same old drill with the Steyr of adding improvised cheek pieces to get eye relief with larger optics. Hardest part was getting it on the right spot without getting in the way of the ejection port and staying attached.
